Our Handy Salinity Calculator
This calculator is for calculating how much salt you need to mix with freshwater to achieve your desired salinity. Simply enter your desired salinity in either PPT (parts Per Thousand) or SG (Specific Gravity), ticking the checkbox to change the value. And then enter the amount of water you are looking to mix up in either litres or US gallons.
The result will be shown below the calculator. Please keep in mind that different salt manufacturers have different specifications. This calculator assumes standard salt concentrations. You may need to adjust according to your actual chosen brand of salts own instructions so only use this calculator as a guide.
